How to Remix a Meme into an AI Video

Adapt an existing meme with a new situation and motion. Learn how to choose a source, write a focused prompt and publish a video remix thoughtfully.

Start with what makes the original funny

Before clicking a remix action, name the reaction in one sentence: surprise, disappointment, suspicion or awkwardness. Then name your new situation. This keeps your version grounded in a joke rather than adding motion for its own sake.

Find a reusable starting point

Open a meme in the library and look for its available creation actions and related templates. If you are changing the caption, prefer a clean template over an image with somebody else’s caption already burned in. Check the preview so you know which image the video will use.

Change the situation

Suppose your starting format communicates suspicion. Your version could be about an unexpectedly short meeting invitation. Write a concise caption that sets up that situation, then choose motion that reinforces the suspicious reaction.

This is an illustrative exercise, not a claim about a specific community post. Use your own wording and material you are allowed to reuse. A remix should add an idea; public availability alone is not a blanket reuse licence.

Give the motion one job

Try a prompt such as: ‘The person glances sideways, pauses, then looks toward the camera. Keep the background still.’ A fixed camera helps the expression carry the joke. If you prefer a zoom, try it in place of extra subject movement rather than adding every effect together.

Review the joke as well as the pixels

Watch without reading your prompt. Is the intended reaction obvious? Can you still read the caption? Does the new movement distract from the setup? If you need to explain every detail, simplify the next attempt.

Free generation is supported by ads; ad-free generation uses one paid credit. Each request produces one result. If you like the idea but not the result, change one major instruction at a time so you can tell what helped.

Publish with context

Give your creation a descriptive title. Review the public checkbox before generating; it starts checked. Keep the result out of public listings if you only want a personal experiment. When sharing elsewhere, avoid presenting an AI-generated action as a real recording.

Put your idea in motion

Start with a template, a meme or your own image. Check your credits and publishing choice before generating.
