Private vs Public Meme Videos

Choose before you generate

The video creator has a ‘Make this video public’ checkbox. It starts checked. Leave it checked if you want your accepted result to be eligible for public browsing and community reuse. Uncheck it before generating to keep the accepted creation out of public feeds. You can make 1 video private per day, resetting at midnight Central time.

Review the choice on each creation. Do not assume a setting from a previous video carries over. Videos are finalized immediately after generation using your selected public or private setting. Meme It opens the caption editor; it is not an approval step.

What public means

A public creation can appear in community browsing and on a public creator profile. Other visitors may view it, share its link and use available remix actions. Public does not mean featured: curated selections and the community feed serve different purposes.

Only publish material you are comfortable making available to other people. A remix can travel beyond its original page. Removing a public creation later cannot recall downloaded files, screenshots or copies other people have already shared.

What private means here

Private is the product’s visibility setting for keeping a creation out of public listings. It should not be treated as a guarantee that an underlying media URL is confidential or that uploaded files are encrypted exclusively for you. Media is processed and stored to provide the creation service.

Avoid uploading secrets, sensitive documents or intimate personal material. If a project requires strict access-controlled media storage, contact support about your requirements before uploading it. The Privacy Policy explains the service’s data practices.

Sharing a file is a separate decision

Downloading a video and sending it in a group chat makes that copy available to the recipients, regardless of the site visibility setting. Sharing a media link may also give others access to that file. Choose both the on-site setting and your off-site sharing deliberately.

Managing and deleting videos

Each request produces one result. Your account provides management and deletion controls for your creations. Contact support if you need help removing something you cannot manage.

Before publishing a meme about someone else

Use images you have permission to use and avoid exposing private information. Do not present an AI-generated action as a recording of a real event. If a community post targets someone or violates their rights, use the report control or contact support.
